Freek Coppens (aka Ferreck Dawn) has been active as a DJ and producer for over 14 years now. His productions -- released on well-known labels like Spinnin’ Records, Toolroom, D:Vision, and Material records -- have been supported by DJs like Avicii, Hardwell, EDX, Robin Schulz, Sander van Doorn, Mark Knight, Oliver Heldens, The Magician and other big guns like Steve Angello, Martin Garrix, Chuckie, Pete Tong and Tiësto. After numerous Beatport top 10 charting tracks and remixes for artists like Martin Garrix, Sander van Doorn, DVBBS, Steve Aoki, Sander Kleinenberg, Philip George, and René Amesz, Ferreck released 'Love Too Deep' together with Redondo in 2013. The melodic hit resided in the Beatport Deep House Top 10 for an impressive 3 months in a row, was supported by all the top jocks, got massive airplay on UK radio stations like BBC Radio 1 & Kiss FM and Dutch radio station Slam FM declaring the track a Grandslam (most important track). After Love Too Deep, the success continued in 2014 / 2015 by signing to one of the biggest dance labels in the world, Spinnin Records, and releasing chart topping tracks like 'Something Else', 'Another Day', 'Heaven Sent', 'Baby Slow Down' and 'Superman', the latter reaching #4 in the South African 5fm top 40.
2016 started off very well for Ferreck with his new single 'Man Enough' reaching #1 in the Beatport house charts for 2 weeks and steady at #2 in the main chart, an EMPO Award nomination for 'Best Deep House DJ' and a full agenda with (inter)national shows. With a lot of new tracks and remixes in the pipeline, and upcoming performances in countries like Indonesia, Dubai, France, the UK, Denmark, Romania, Czech Republic and Portugal, 2016 is going to be the year that Ferreck Dawn takes it to the next level.
